Buffy Made Chokers Cool. Slay, style queen. Slay!

Coolgirl Shirley Manson rocked the late 90’s with her signature witchy woman style.

There’s no doubt in my mind that chokers and collars are a huge deal right now due to one solitary fact: the 90’s and early 2000’s are cool again.

It’s been long enough, and my time to slay the fashion world is now. With chokers like the ones below (ahem, shameless self promotion is shameless) you can now relive the glory days of movies like The Craft and Clueless, and shows like Sabrina the Teenage Witch and the ever-important Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

We can look at pictures of fashionistas from the time period to catch the newest trend but the biggest sneak peak of what’s to come shows up in TV shows and movies, of course. The costume designers and fashion mavens of the era donned our favorite heroes and heroines in the most fascinating, time-capsule-y garb imaginable. Popular shows at the time were a little spooky, totally silly, and sometimes really scary. This offered a tongue-in-cheek look at the trends then, and by going back you can spring forward towards some new style do’s. And avoid some style don’ts.

Remember Style Slayers, what goes around comes around.
